My Real Estate career began while trapped for ten days on an ice shelf high up Alaska's Mt. McKinley (Denali). Eleven climbers died during a freak storm that packed 110 mph winds, air temperatures to minus 47 and wind chills of 150 degrees below zero. our team not only survived, we went on to be the first group to summit that year. My account of that ascent, Facing the Extreme, was published by St. Martin's Press in 1998. Since then, I've shared my experiences in over 100 television and radio appearances including CNN's "International Hour" and The Discovery Channel and in front of live audiences across the country.

During recovery from frostbite I studied for the Real Estate exam. I had no intention of abandoning my pursuit of mountains and even harbored dreams of climbing higher. But the taller the mountain, the more costly the expedition. I needed to sell more homes to get there. In short, my passion motivated me then and now to work hard to achieve it. Like mountaineering, Real Estate is an adventure in problem-solving.

My husband and I have called the Reno area home for 26 years. We love the melding of urban convenience with proximity to Lake Tahoe, seventeen ski areas and vast wilderness. In fact, the more I see of the world, the more I appreciate our valley.

My mountaineering accomplishments include Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, Mt. Elbrus (Russia), Aconcagua (Argentina), Denali, Nevado Illimani (Bolivia), Popocatepeti and Orizaba (Mexico), Rainier, the Baltoro Glacier in Northern Pakistan, circumnavigating the Torres De Paine (Patagonia), an attempt on Cho-Oyu (Tibet), trekking along the Wakhan Corridor of Northern Afghanistan and hiking across Bhutan.
