As a 39 year resident of the Reno/Sparks area, Vern has enjoyed seeing the wonderful changes this community has experienced.

After moving from southern California in the late 60's, Vern began a career with the Reno Fire Department as a firefighter where he proudly worked for 29 years.

While at the fire dept. he became interested in building homes on his days off. . After working several years for other contractors, he obtained his own general contracting license in 1983. Having a background in architecture from college, Vern applied these skills to his building projects He has built many custom homes and additions in this area.

In 1994 he started his real estate career. Over the years Vern has helped many of his fellow firefighters and friends with real estate.

With all the growth this area has experienced, Vern feels that this is still a small town and people deserve to be treated well.

This attitude and knowledge of the business has been very beneficial for Vern and his clients over the years.

Vern has been married to his wife Cynthia for more than 32 yrs. They have two grown children that they are both very proud of, Todd (32) & Cheryl (28).
